Lion Travel Service’s Xinmedia on Monday (March 6) released survey results from 3,000 tourists on why they want to visit Taiwan, CNA reported. The respondents were from China, Europe, the U.S., Northeast Asia, and Southeast Asia.

To attract international tourists, the Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism (DOIT) announced Saturday (Feb. 25) that travelers in Taipei will receive tickets to double-decker tour buses. In a press release, the DOIT wrote that between March 14 and June 30, international travelers who check in at participating hotels for two nights, cruise passengers, or European tourists staying in the city for over 15 hours will receive the welcome gift.

In the 2023 Index of Economic Freedom, Taiwan is ranked fourth best in the world, its top result since records began in 1995. If CES 2023 is any guide, trade shows and exhibitions are set for a roaring comeback this year. Last month, CES – the world’s largest tech trade show – took place in Las Vegas with more than 3,200 exhibitors from 173 countries and territories. EVA Airways has been listed at No. 9 on the list of the world’s safest airlines published by AirlineRatings.com, reports said Tuesday (Jan. 17). Of the 385 airlines under review for 2023, Qantas of Australia came out at No. 1, followed by Air New Zealand and Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways. The only airline from East Asia to be listed higher than EVA was Singapore Airlines at No. 5.
