2024: The 30th Anniversary Conference of the World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce
The 2024 30th Anniversary Conference of the World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce made a spectacular appearance at the Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel from September 26 to 28, 2024! The conference brought together over 1,300 representatives from Taiwanese chambers of commerce and business leaders from around the world to discuss international economic trends and explore opportunities for business collaboration.
2024: The Return of the Yellow Rubber Duck to the Harbor
In 2024, the artist Florentijn Hofman was invited to bring his Yellow Rubber Duck inflatable back to Kaohsiung to witness the transformation of the city over the past decade since the duck first made its debut, particularly highlighted by the development of the Asia New Bay Area.
2022 Taiwan Design Expo
The 2022 Taiwan Design Expo featured the largest exhibition area in its history — approximately 33,000 m². The enchanting Design Island was accessible from the Pier-2 Art Center via the Great Harbor Bridge. It invited visitors to step onto the island site and experience Taiwan’s rich design capabilities! The venue was located in the Penglai Commercial Port Area, a reclaimed land historically known as the Economic Island for the pivotal role in exports.
2022 Creative Expo Taiwan
As Asia’s grandest cultural and creative event, the 2022 Creative Expo Taiwan was held from August 5 to 14 in Kaohsiung. This year’s theme — RESONANCE ISLAND — served as an island manifesto that championed an “experience-first” spirit. It invited visitors to immerse themselves in and share the vibrant life of the island, collectively creating a resonance that revealed the grandeur of Taiwan’s culture. 2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival
After a 20-year hiatus, the year 2022 finally oversaw the return of the Taiwan Lantern Festival in Kaohsiung. With the theme “Glow in Kaohsiung, Shine on Taiwan, and Light Up the World,” the 2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival was held at both Love River Bay and Weiwuying, in combination with two national landmarks, namely the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) as well as Kaohsiung Music Center. 2020 ICCA Congress
